Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis does affect the foot or both feet however the origin of the cause can actually originate from the Iliotibial band.  The IT band connects our Ilium (hip) to the tibia (lower leg) which attaches to the outer part of the knee capsule.

Very often a slight rotation in the hip can pull the IT band upwards which attaches to the muscles of the tibia, which attach to the muscles on the bottom of the feet.  This domino effect of tight muscles can eventually cause constant pain and inflammation within the muscles and surrounding fascia of the foot.

The key to fixing plantar fasciitis revolves around the entire hip, leg, foot complex and releasing EVERY associated muscle, ligament, and tendon associated with the complex.
