We Can Learn a Lot from our Dogs

If you have ever experienced owning a dog at some point in your life you will surely understand, at times the experience is incredible.  There are a few characteristic traits about dogs which makes them extremely intelligent and gives us the feeling that we can't live without our dog.

The first characteristic trait about a dog which can teach us a ton is the fact that dogs are unconditionally loving, towards themselves and others.  Have you ever noticed a dog who was in a fight with another dog, after the scuffle has ended, each dog walks away as if nothing happened.

The dogs don't go home and constantly judge themselves or beat themselves up over the fight.  The dog won't contemplate who's fault the fight was and placed blame on the other dog, or ridicule the other dog in any way.  When the fight is over the dog has completely detached from the incident and moved on with its life!

Secondly, dogs are very intuitive to the point where your dog will know when you are coming home even before you have reached your home.  I have seen dogs wake up from a deep sleep and sit by their front doors in expectation for their master's arrival two minutes before the person arrived home!

Dogs are very self-focused and many research studies have shown that dogs enter into a meditative state while sleeping.  Meditation helps our body to regenerate and release negative emotions and energies.  Instead of worrying about everything the dog can not control instead the dog goes into a deep meditative sleep and clears its energy.

Another characteristic trait about a dog which makes it an excellent teacher is the fact that dogs unconditionally love us for who we are every day.  The dog does not judge us, compare us to other people, guilt us, blame us, or force us to be someone we are not.  The dog totally loves and accepts us for who we are and sees our positive qualities day in and day out!
