Children's Fevers

When I talk with parents about their children and those scary moments when their little ones are dealing with a fever, there is always anxiety and fear that their child's fever will get out of control.

A fever is a natural, healthy response to an invasion of some type of pathogen (Bacteria, Virus, Parasite, Fungus etc...).  The glands, organs, and brain respond by changing the child's muscular physiology, raising their core temperature, allowing their body to kill the invader.

Most pathogens are killed at a temperature between 99-102.6 degrees.  There are some viral mutations that cause the body to raise temperatures in excess of 104-106 degrees.

I have learned from some incredible Holistic Medical Pediatricians that a child can have a high fever yet still be active and wanting to play.  However other children can only have a 99 fever and be out for the count.

In dealing with fevers the most important thing to do is allow the fever to run its course because the constant elevation in temperature will destroy the invader's protein makeup and help the immune system restore health.

The best support for children with fevers are:

Electrolytes from Coconut water, Lemon, Lime, Cell Salts (Bioplasm), Kelp Noodles, Kale, Cilantro, Celery, Mangoes, and Papaya.
