Meditate for Healing

You are energy, every molecule that makes up who you are responds to the energy around you.  Have you ever walked into a room during a party or event to find some of your closest friends waving to you and feeling extremely happy?  Have you ever walked into a room at an event, spotted people with "bad energy" and wanted to immediately turn around and go home?

Those feelings or joy or feelings of awkwardness occur because of the energy you are picking up on.  The most important thing you can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle is to feel joyful and express love for yourself and others.  Love heals and rejuvenates the cells in your body, hate destroys your cells and weakens your immune system over time.

Meditation helps you release any anger, resentment, jealousy, greed, and spite you may have for yourself and for others.  Meditation only takes 15 minutes at most.  Place an intention before beginning your meditation.  You may say something like this to yourself, "I place an intention to let of of all the stress I am currently holding onto that does not serve my greatest good and highest good and during this meditation feel the stress melt off my body and release".

Next you will be sitting comfortably in a chair, completely relaxed, eyes closed, breathing in for a count of 3, hold for 3 seconds, and breathe out for a count of 6.  This will help you establish a rhythm just like the waves of the ocean have a rhythm.

As you are breathing you can either put headphones on and listen to meditation music or simply focus on the sound of your breath to help you get into state.  Any thoughts about your day that happen to come up, focus on them until you feel them melt away and disappear.

Laura Silva has a great program called the Silva Mind Control method for meditation where she has you place your thumb, index and middle finger together as you visualize and count backwards 3, 3, 3...2, 2, 2...1, 1, 1 as you rhythmically breathe in and out.

Breathe out all stress and tension and allow your higher brain download to your physical brain solutions to any problems you are dealing with.  You will be amazed at the power you have while meditating!
